Celebrity Hair Stylist Nelson Chan Introduces Argan Oil 7 products

“It has a wonderful alluring fragrance and rich texture that makes you want to apply more, and leaves hair feeling squeaky clean, but not stripped,” said Nelson Chan, founder of Nelson j Beverly Hills. The Moisture Healing Shampoo is a 5-in-1 product that repairs damaged hair by effectively moisturizing, cleansing, and detangling hair without stripping hair of color or moisture.

And the 7-in-1 Moisture Healing Conditioner does just the same for hair by restoring moisture for normal and color-treated hair. “It’s also great for protecting

or preserving color because it does not open the cuticle, nor weigh hair down,” said Chan. The line also offers the Moisture Healing Mask, which is a deep conditioner that Chan recommends for severely damaged hair.

The hair duo comes in 3 tantalizing scents (coconut, rosemary, pomegranate) and is made without parabens, sulfates, artificial fragrances or colors. Along with that, the shampoo is safe for Keratin or Brazilian-treated hair.

As one of InStyle Magazine’s featured salons in its prestigious Black Book, a member of Allure Magazine’s Directory and voted “Best of LA” by Los Angeles Magazine, Nelson j Beverly Hills has translated its high profile hair care into a product for everyone at home.

New York Fashion Week looks for Badgley Mischka and Sophie Theallet by MAC

Mischka’s line was “Inspired by the Golden Years of America, very 1950s and 60s,” according to makeup master Tom Pecheux. The MAC artists crafted the models’ matte faces with the Mineralize Charged Water Moisture Gel, Sunscreen-infused foundation, and powder blush. They glammed up the eyes with Goldmine Eye Shadow, Blacktrack Fluidline and Pure Show Superslick Eye Liner. For the pout, they created a cool finish with the Dusty Mauve Lipstick.

MAC balanced naughty and nice with Theallet’s bold eye look. Tom Pecheux described the look as “Very Sexy, very sensual, quite naughty, quite nice.” With foundation, MAC Pro Correct and Conceal Palette, and Fun Ending Powder Blush, the face became a soft background for the enticing eye look to come. For the fierce eyes, the artists smudged on Feline Eye Kohl along with MAC Pro Shine Mixing Medium over the eye to create a slick sheen. The lips were left natural with Lip Conditioner Tube, but mixed up the nail art with a play on French nails. To create a nail complimenting both the smoky eye and gold in the collection, they used Gold Pearl Studio Nail Lacquer and Matte Top Coat Studio Nail Lacquer.

MAC Beauty Looks for New York Fashion Week: February 10

For bold and dramatic designers such as Carolina Herrera and Zac Posen, MAC matched the 2014 runway designs with skin, eyes and lips that stood out on the runway.

For the Carolina Herrera show, Diane Kendal said MAC channeled “Classic Carolina Herrera beauty.” Dramatic Superwatt Electric Cool bronze eye shadow was smeared on the eyelids, while vibrant boysenberry-colored lipstick brought attention to the lips.

Charlotte Tilbury said the Donna Karan New York MAC look was inspired by “A woman out in a New York night.” MAC Pro Platinum Pigment made the eyes pop with dramatic metallic tones. MAC Shine Mixing Medium added shine and dimension to the models’ cheekbones.

The Ohne Titel beauty look was the “Portrait of a Woman: Futuristic feel to the skin, metallic balmy, doe-eye, eyeliner…sexy but subtle,” according to Lucia Pica. Luna Cream Colour Base created a pearlized, glossy texture to the models’ skin and eyes. Diva Lipstick was added to the lips to add a soft, sheer touch of color.

For the nails, MAC opted for “Tactile matte textures and graphic chrome lines…the nails were inspired by the use of multiple textures; synthetic and natural materials from the collection,” as told by Keri Blair. Silver and gold mylar stripping tape produced reflective chrome lines around every nail, and Matte Topcoat Studio Nail Lacquer was applied over each nail for a finishing touch.

The naturally beautiful look dominated The Row’s runway, with “Clean natural skin with a soft glow and contour” making an appearance, said Tom Pecheux. Light foundation and MAC Pro Mid-tone Sepia Cream Colour Base created a soft highlight of the cheekbones and eyes. Close to you Lipstick was applied to emphasize the understated nude look.

A theme of “Wicked nuns…pale skin with stern brows,” according to Sil Bruinsma, the Thom Browne fashion show MAC makeup look uniquely utilized white face and body foundation to create ivory skin. Meanwhile, mudged eyes with thick liner made the eyes stand out. A lightly drawn line above the eyebrows portrayed a “stern” expression for the show.

What Kabuki calls “A deconstructed take on 1940s glamour with a punk edge,” the MAC beauty look for the Zac Posen show used bright orange-red lipstick and a velvety concealer. To finish the themed look, MAC used a mascara fan brush to design an artful sweep of black horizontal lines across the eye.

Bring Back The Sizzle in your Relationship

Somehow, some of the “cute” things he did in the beginning turn the source of your nail biting habit. We are not saying any love has been lost; sometimes you just have to make a bigger effort to keep it hot. Excitement doesn’t last forever folks, and you really do have to work to make it last. We have put together a few ideas on how to add some flame to your relationships proverbial fire.

Women have a tendency to over analyze, worry, or feel the need to spice things up in relationships. (Or in my case, perhaps write entire articles on the subject.) Men who have already made the “long term commitment” actually, believe it or not, like the familiarity of the women they are committed to and while they will never argue for extra time in the bedroom, we are the seekers of infinite affection and quality time more often than our male companions.

The first crucial tip: Do not have expectations of perfection that could lead to disappointment. Do not try to plan every spark or sizzle, let it happen and go with the flow. Set aside the time and see where the day, or night, takes you. Below are some ideas to get your started.

Try new places that you have not been together. A new restaurant for dinner, a new quiet bar for drinks, and when you get home… well, you get the idea.

Try taking a trip to a sexy store together to discover your likes and dislikes in the bedroom. Do not be afraid to ask each other questions that help determine what things are right for spicing up your relationship. Keep an open mind and make sure both parties are on the same page, it is never fun to be pressured into anything you are not comfortable with.

Keep your relationship communication open. Do not be afraid to let your partner know exactly what you want out of the relationship, and vice-versa. Do this kindly, no one likes a nag.

Remember how sexy you are! If you are confident in yourself, your partner will notice it. Treat yourself to the salon or to a shop to get a new outfit for your date night that will make you feel amazing.

Remember that with time comes comfort, and that is never a bad thing. Just make sure you both keep having fun with one another to make the journey together that much better!

Beauty How To: Facial Contouring With Makeup

Start by thinking of your face, and its shape, as a blank art canvas. To bring out your natural face shape, you have to start from scratch, creating and outline using shadowing, highlighting, and defining techniques. To get a defined, beautiful outcome, you have to showcase all the features that make you, YOU.

First, you will need some tools of the trade. A foundation that is lighter than your skin tone, foundation that is slightly darker, a concealer brush, a foundation brush, liquid bronzer, an all-over cream highlighter, flat brush for blending.

Step 1- Apply your light shade
Start by dotting on some liquid foundation that is one shade lighter than your natural skin tone in the center of your forehead, on the bridge and end of your nose, under your eyes, and beneath your bottom lip. (You will use one shade darker than your natural skin tone as well to blend them together later on.)

Step 2- Apply your dark shade
Using a foundation brush, dot on the darker foundation around your hairline, temples, the bottom of your cheekbones, and on each side of the nose to create the subtle look of depth and dimension to the areas you want to highlight.

Step 3- Blend the shades to highlight and contour the structure of your face
Mark areas that you want to contour and bring out with a liquid bronzer. (I prefer Benefit brandSun Beam golden bronze complexion highlighter, $26.00) Apply to the tip of your nose as well as the sides of your nose, just beneath your cheekbones, along your hairline, your temples, and your jaw-line.

Step 4- Use a highlighter to define
Use an allover cream highlighter (I prefer Benefit brandHigh Beam luminescent complexion enhancer, $ 26.00) on the center of your forehead, the top of your cheekbones, the bridge of your nose, and in the center of your chin.

Step 5 – Blend it all together.
Create an air brushed and defined look by using a flat brush to blend all highlights and contours together for a perfect look.

Who says that everyday girls like us can’t have cheekbones like a supermodel? It is all in how you do your application. And here behind the scenes, we have the secrets to share with you.

MAC Makeup at Spring 2014 New York Fashion Week

MAC created 3 stunning makeup looks for designers Costello Tagliapietra, Desigual and Tadashi Shoji at February 6th’s show at New York Fashion Week.

MAC’s minimalist look for Tagliapietra was designated as “A Cool Girl,” according to Maki Ryoke. The makeup artists used concealer and prime highlighters to create a natural appearance, lip conditioner and powder blush for a healthy looking pout, and Veluxe brow liner for well-groomed eyebrows.

Gordon Espinet said Desigual’s iridescent theme was “Pretty faces: girls looking like girls using an indeliberate technique to apply gold shadow.” MAC made shimmery eyes the focus with Pro Gold Metal Pigment mixed with Pro Gloss and Glitter. Obviously Bare Lipglass and Medium Studio Sculpt Powder balanced the dramatic eye look by creating a light complexion. One last touch included the gold-leafed nails, leaving the models gleaming from their face to their fingertips.

Lisa Houghton summed up Tadashi’s theme as “Romantic Moroccan: its’ about mystery, romance and decadence…reminiscent of an enchanting Moorish night.” MAC went for a fresh look for the face by applying foundation over primed skin along with a light dusting of Pearl Cream Colour base to highlight the cheekbones. The artists chose a medieval-inspired lip shade and weaved the coquette eye shadow through the brows to create a feathery appearance.
