COLETTE LUSH RUNWAY INTERVIEW

Tell us about your personal style.

I’m heavily inspired by the silhouettes of the 1950s

and 1960s. I love to turn myself into a “mod

fembot-adjacent doll”. I love a sinched waist,

accentuated hip, sweetheart neckline, and lots of

color. I love thigh high boots and colorful gogo boots,

and I always wear a headband with my signature

60’s bubble hair flip.

Who are your favorite designers?

My favorite designers embody taking chances and

being unapologetically themselves. A few of my

favorites right now are Maisie Wilen, Del Core,

Charles de Vilmorin, and Supriya Lele.

What projects do you have coming next?

My third project, “Comfort in Chaos” is coming this

year, with the first single “Feelings4U” being released

this summer.

Where did you learn music?

Music has always been a huge part of my life and

my family’s dynamic. I had difficulty communicating

when I was little and would turn to songs with deeper

lyrics to help me convey exactly what I was feeling.

Who are your influences?

Freddie Mercury, Jazmine Sullivan, Amy Winehouse,

Patsy Cline, Frank Sinatra, Ray Charles, and so many

more.

What is your favorite thing to do to relax?

I’m an avid reader. Putting my phone away (or turning

it off) and sitting at a coffee shop with my favorite

new book is heaven to me. When I get stressed out or

overwhelmed, I drive to the mountains for the day. I

lived in Lake Arrowhead for a year during lockdown,

and it was truly one of the happiest times in my life.

My dad grew up in the mountains and I’ve been

going on day trips since I can remember, so nothing

quite puts me at ease like that.

Do you have pets?

I do! I have a German Shepherd/ Rottweiler mix

named Arya.

What thing in your closet could you not live

without?

My growing collection of corsets. Nothing makes me

feel as powerful and divine in my femininity quite like

they do.

What do you do to get ready to perform?

A lot. I don’t drink or smoke often, but I

especially won’t a week or sometimes two before

a performance. I still get minor anxiety before a

show, so I focus on exercising and eating healthy so

I can fuel my mind. Then there’s the grocery list of

everything else. I drink a gallon of water everyday

leading up, I have voice lessons, rehearsals, fittings,

and then all of the small beauty rituals that make me

feel confident and glowing. Day of I like to have a

shot of whiskey before I get on stage to help with

nerves and to smooth out my voice.

Do you have a special diet?

My way of nurturing my body is focused on my

mental state. I never want to restrict myself or gain an

unhealthy view of my body. My body does so much

for me on a daily basis, my focus is keeping it strong

and happy. I eat a lot of protein and greens, but

pasta is my favorite and I cannot live without boba.

Having balance and following what I feel my body

wants or needs is key.

Do you work with any charities?

I just moved back to California from New York

a month and a half ago and haven’t yet gotten

involved. I grew up working soup kitchens and doing

“meals on wheels”- which is a food delivery service

for people in elderly homes. I’m moving again in a

few weeks, but after everything settles, charity work

is something I’m very passionate about and will be

joining multiple groups. Eventually, I want to focus

my money and energy on building homes around the

country for women and children of domestic violence,

as that’s what touches me the most.

Wyatt Walter Runway Magazine Interview

Tell us about your personal Style.

My personal style away from the camera is very

casual and comfortable. I enjoy spending time

outdoors hiking and exploring, so you will catch me

wearing a tee, jeans, Merrell’s and a cap. When

dressing for a night out; I prefer classic styles like

Zara, Tommy Hilfiger or Ralph Lauren.

Who is your favorite performance artist?

I really admire three dimensional performers that

evolve and take you on a journey. The naturally

gifted greats such as Denzel Washington and Meryl

Streep do this effortlessly by telling a story with their

performance. I also enjoy listening to musicians like

Freddie Mercury and Frank Sinatra that captivate

you with their lyrical sincerity.

Where is your favorite place to eat?

I have a tendency to pick quaint ‘hole in the wall’

restaurants, where you know the food is bound

to be an experience coupled with an incredible

atmosphere.

What inspires your art?

A challenge that catapults me beyond my own

expectations. Whether it’s creating music or learning

a new character, it’s the organic process of refining

my artistic vision that allows me to be a stronger

person and performer.

What is the most relaxing place on Earth?

Anything outdoors and I am all for it! I’ve recently

found a passion for exploring abandoned cave

mining systems. There is no greater bliss like being

underground in a preserved tomb where past

explorers have ventured. To feel the cool breeze of

the underground air ducts and to hear the dripping

sound of water that has been trapped forever by the

earth’s stone grip, is total relaxation.

Do you work with any charities?

I love giving back to organizations that help rescue

animals as well as foundations that cater to sharing

experiences and supporting kids and young teens.

BITA MILANIAN

BITA MILANIAN RUNWAY MAGAZINE

Tell us about your personal style.

I would describe my style as bold, elegant, and

authentic. To me, true style is all about expressing

yourself authentically. I like experimenting with

different colors and explore new designers, based

on the season and have a mix of timeless wardrobe

pieces, along with more trendy statement pieces and

accessories.

I am inspired by a variety of designers and am a firm

believer that we can have multiple styles based on

our mood.

What business do you work with?

I am the SVP of Global Marketing for Ribbon (rbbn.

com), a publicly traded communications company

that serves telecommunication providers across 140

countries. I also run a creative agency, Butterfly

Buzz, that works with up-and-coming artists and

non-profits. I also always have a passion project that

I am involved with to give back to my community,

including BITAKITCHEN.com where I share my

personal wellness journey through food.

What was your social media platform?

I am the creator of BITAKITCHEN.com, the popular

social channel featuring plant-based, gluten-free

recipes rooted in Iranian and Global cuisines alike.

The platform has garnered thousands of loyal and

engaged followers across the globe. I also have my

personal social media platform under my own name

through which I aspire to unite humanity via art,

culture, tech and philanthropy.

How many languages do you speak?

I am fluent in Persian, German, and English, and

proficient in conversational Spanish, French and

Azeri. As an avid world traveler and Iranian-American

immigrant, I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing

many cultures and consider myself a global citizen.

Where is your favorite place on Earth?

My home – no joke! Don’t get me wrong, I love

traveling and exploring new places, but home is

literary where my heart is and where I feel most

content. I feel blessed that way!

Tell us about your shoes.

I am all about keeping it simple and classic when

it comes to shoes and comfort is also key for me.

If like a pair of shoes that fits me well and I look

good in them, I buy them in every color. I do own a

few eclectic pieces that I pull out once in a while to

accessorize a simple look as a statement piece.

What got you into social media?

I have been sharing my journey online since the early

2000’s sharing my passion for culture, art and tech,

as well as human rights issues and philanthropy.

And in the past three years, I have also become

more vocal about selfcare and wellness. Under an

immense amount of stress, I had a wake-up call

when I entered early menopause at the age of 43.

I knew I needed to find an outlet to connect to my

passions, release stress, as well as nourish my body

with healthy home-cooked foods. Along that journey,

BITA’s KITCHEN was born.

Where do you go to relax?

My home kitchen! Cooking and entertaining help me

disconnect from the stresses of my busy life. I also

love visiting our five grandchildren and spending

time with them, cooking for them and exploring life

through their eyes.

What are your primary goals?

Unite the global community through tech, culture

and art. Highlight immigrant, refugees, and rising

Iranian talent. Inspire more people to embrace and

incorporate more plant-based meals into their diet

Share my love for Persian food

Do you work with any charities?

I’ve always seen food and the arts as an open

avenue to uplift my community and bring cultures

together, and that is truly the driver behind all that I

do. Knowing the power food has to bring us together,

I often host dining events to raise funds in support

of immigrants and others in need, including “The

Immigrant Dinners” series as part of the LA Times

Food Bowl.

I also spent several years in the non-profit world

as the Executive Director of a Los Angeles-based

organization called the Farhang Foundation, which

is dedicated to the promotion and celebration of

Iranian art and culture. Inspired by my work there, I

went on to found and continue to run Butterfly Buzz, a

creative agency that advances the careers of Iranian

artists, musicians, dancers, actors, and creatives. I

often participate in dance competitions myself, to

benefit the many different charitable organizations

I support.

ARIA BROOKS

Tell us about your personal style.

My style is very trendy: I love baggy jeans, graphic tees, and

fitted shirts. I am really big on jewelry. You will usually see

me wearing earrings, necklaces, bracelets, rings and even hair

jewelry. I mainly accessorize with my hair, because I like trying

fun colors.

What did you enjoy most about playing Libby in

Better Nate Than Ever?

I loved getting to tap into her confidence because that helped

my confidence. She is so unapologetically herself and always

has the funniest comebacks. She was just so fun to play and

watch because of her spunk and wit.

What is your favorite part of performing onstage for

an audience?

I love seeing the crowd’s reaction to what you’re doing. When

I’m performing my own music, I love hearing people sing my

lyrics back to me. Live music will always make me feel something,

even more so than the recording.

When did you realize you wanted to act? Do you

have any formal training?

I have always been in theater and had an interest in performing

since I was young. I remember watching Skai Jackson on Jessie

when I was ten, and I knew I wanted to be just like her. That is

when I decided to pursue a film and TV career. I have trained

with Catapult Acting Studios, The Actor’s Scene, Premier Acting

Network, and several workshops in the metro-Atlanta area.

How do you prepare for a role?

First, I look over all of the information given including sides, the

script, and the character breakdowns. Next, I start by learning

the lines. A big part of acting is creating the characters, even

though you’re given a brief character description, it is important

to build on it. I expound on the breakdown and add more to the

character. This helps me to tap into it better. Then, I apply what

was given and anything I added to my scene.

As a singer/songwriter, what inspires you to create

new music?

All of my music is inspired by my real life experiences. I write

about anything that impacted me in any way. I love listening to

music that is personal because I feel like I can relate to it. I want

my music to be that for other people. It is also therapeutic for me

to get all of my feelings out through my music.

What is your favorite part of the creative process for

your original songs?

I love the day after I write a song because I play/sing it over

and over. I love listening as if I am the audience because it

makes me appreciate the work more. Building the harmonies

on my songs is also really fun. I enjoy building the background

vocals and just playing around in the studio.

What is your favorite restaurant?

My favorite restaurant is probably Maggiano’s Little Italy.

Tell us about your daily life.

I go to public school right now so that is most of my day. After

school, I’ll usually have an audition, interview, or rehearsal for

something. I do my chores and homework after school too.

What kind of music do you like?

I love a little bit of everything. I listen to R&B, rap, and pop the

most.

Tell us about your upcoming projects.

You’ll be able catch me on Season 3 of High School Musical:

The Musical: The Series premiering July 27th on Disney+.

What is your favorite thing in your closet?

My favorite thing in my closet is a tan fitted dress that I got from

Joyfolie.

While trying to teach them to be more kind and see the good in other people, she on the other hand, learns to become tougher and stand up for herself more.

4.I learned to act at the age of 10 but didn’t take it very seriously until the age of 13.

11.I work with dog animal rescues and with the Brooke USA foundation; this foundation teaches owners in the underdeveloped countries how to care better for their horses, donkeys and mules because these animals have an important role for the survival of the family.

CHANEL RYAN RUNWAY MAGAZINE INTERVIEW

Tell us about your personal style.

I’m pretty much stuck in the 70s. I’ve dressed the same

way since I was a teenager and I’m most comfortable

in a pair of Levi’s or flares and a T-shirt. I try not

to support fast fashion so am a big fan of Vintage

clothes. I always joke that I love animals more than

people and don’t like the idea of wearing them. So,

any leather jackets I own are vintage or handed

down to me. And I search out vegan leather shoes

and brands.

What designers do you like to wear on the red carpet?

Don’t laugh but I haven’t been to a red-carpet event

since 2017! My mom had cancer, so I took off for a couple years to take care of her and then we went straight into the pandemic. Seems like there’s always some new strain of Covid going around so I haven’t been to any red-carpet events lately.

What is your favorite role?

Probably Ms. Gleason in “Bad Kids Go To Hell”. It was fun to play an overzealous character. Dressed conservatively! With loads of school spirit! It didn’t suck working with Judd Nelson either!

Tell us about your style of comedy?

Comedy is my first love for sure. Then horror films! There are definite rules and a rhythm that goes with a comedic script. I would love to play more over the top characters. It’s fun to embrace the crazy!

What is the strangest interview you’ve ever done?

Hmmm. I’ve done A few interviews in some interesting places! I did an interview for FHM Australia while having cocktails in a hot tub overlooking the Mediterranean Sea while I was working in Spain.

And an interview for another UK magazine, I can’t remember which one, while I was on a boat in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico headed to the dry Tortugas! We literally stopped the boat in the middle

of the sea and just chilled there for an hour while Idid the interview! There was a sea turtle swimming around us it was amazing! I may have jumped out of the boat to swim with the sea turtle!

You have been named as one of the sexiest women on the planet. We think of you as one of the most elegant Woman on the planet and an inspiration to young women.

Do you feel that title fits you better?

It always amazes me when I book sexy acting roles and print jobs. I don’t see myself that way at all. When I first started working a lot, I was always worried the clients were going to realize they made a mistake and send me home! Calling me one of the most elegant women on the planet is a huge compliment! I’m not sure I live up to that, but I’ll take it! It’s very easy to do on shoots When you have a team to put you together. As far as being an inspiration to young women. I think I’m proof that you can do anything you set your mind to. I am not even 5’5” and I have worked as a model all over the world! So, the moral of that story is dream big!

Do you feel sexuality is overrepresented in

the industry?

Yes! The bottom line is sex sells. The boundaries have been pushed and what is socially acceptable becomes more and more risqué. It amazes me the level of nudity That is expected in magazines and even on television shows that Children watch. It’s unfortunate but I don’t see things changing. I’d like to add to that… I have appeared in a lot of very sexy photo shoots in magazines which I personally produced and own the rights to. I figured out early on better to take control of my images and be the one calling the shots and earning the dollars from them.

Who is your favorite Acting Coach?

I have two! They are both amazing so don’t make me choose! I have studied at a lot of different acting studios. Any fellow thespians who are reading this Alex Taylor has a Phenomenal Meisner based acting school in Burbank that I highly recommend! If I could go back in time, I would immediately start by studying with Alex before going to any other classes. He really teaches you to listen and trust your instincts and that everything comes from that. I also really love Zack Barnett. I originally met Zach when I was taking classes at Margie Haber‘s and started coaching with him for auditions. Can’t say enough good things about Zack! He is Soo talented and very specific and a genius at breaking scripts/scenes down. He Really helps me get clear and I always feel great about my choices after coaching with him.

Do you have any pets?

Yes! I I’m a big believer in adopting animals in need and when it’s the right time they seem to find their way to my house! I have the sweetest most social cat named King Leo. He is a character and I regularly post funny videos of him on my Instagram! I had a close friend named, David Laventhal, who did so much to help stray cats and feral colonies. I used to foster, and bottle feed the kittens he rescued that were too young to be away from their mothers. King Leo is one of them and ended up needing special attention, so he came to live with me permanently. I also have I wonderful Aussie shepherd named Bodhi! Who is named after Patrick Swayze’s character in the original “Point Break” film! My close friends lost their house in the Malibu fires, so Bodhi came to stay with me for what I thought was going to be a couple weeks. Two years have gone by and he’s now a permanent resident! He’s such a good boy and a great guard dog. I can’t imagine my life without him!

How much free time do you get?

Free time? I don’t even know what you mean! When you are self-employed, I don’t know that there’s such a thing. Most of my jobs shoot out of town. Until my mom got sick, I was gone literally 80 to 85% of the time. Taking time off to care for her really highlighted all the things that were missing from my life, and I made the decision to slow down and travel less for work. Tell us about your vintage shop Stylish Hoarder. And how did you come up with that name?

So, I was originally going to school studying art history and interior design. My plan was to be an interior designer but after five months I started booking a lot of modeling and acting jobs and decided to drop out and pursue a career in the entertainment industry. It’s hard to turn down a paying job in an exotic location to go to school and study! I’m the person that redecorates whenever I go through a breakup or traumatic experience. I am always changing up my house, painting my fridges, refinishing my floors and doing different DIY projects. I have always done interior design projects on the side and helped friends decorate. I always thought I would end up living in the country doing interior design while running a little vintage home decor shop. Long story short I promised my mom before she passed that I would open a shop. During the pandemic it really gave me something to do. I literally would spend my days doing restoration projects then photographing and posting the items on my Shop IG page. I haven’t made it to the country yet, but I did open a little shop in the Old Barn Antique mall in San Juan Capistrano!

The shop is my hobby that turned into a fun business! I literally get to bring joy to people’s houses! I’m Having a lot of fun with it! Follow my vintage shop @Stylishhoarder!! As far as the name. I’m not actually a hoarder! It means

My shop is filled with a Lotta good sh*t!

What is your favorite dessert?

I have a huge, sweet tooth! I love ice cream! One of my favorite dessert places to go to is called Somi Somi!! It’s a Korean dessert called

“Ah-Boong”, A fish shaped waffle cone made fresh so it’s warm, with your choice of filling I get Nutella! Then soft serve ice cream and toppings! Yummy! Do you work with any charities? I love animals and I’m a huge animal advocate so I I’m partial to animal charities! One of my favorites is Catmandoo . My friend David recently passed away he ran a permanent animal shelter out of his house and Catmandoo rescue really stepped up and took in his beloved cats. Check out their site catmandooandtommytoo.Com. The Gentle Barn also does amazingwork rescuing farm animals. You can visit theGentle Barn in Santa Clarita and hang out with the animals and hug the cows! I highly recommend it! Tell us about the film Lockdown which came out recently Lockdown was released last month by Lionsgate. It’s a crime thriller directed by Max Cerchi. The cast includes Michael Pare, Bai Ling, Michael Wainright, Scott Engrotti and Raj Kala and myself! I play an FBI agent. The story is shot in a police station/jail. It’s really about the boys and highlights them! We actually shot it a couple years ago when my mom was sick. Going into the film Max knew the situation with my mom and was really wonderful. I was supposed to be on set every day and unfortunately my mom really took a turn for the worse once we started shooting. So the days I couldn’t be there, which was more than half of them they just shot around me. On the first day of filming I arrived on set a little late for my 7 AM call time after a really hard morning with my mom. My day started with a 4am wake-up. As sick as my mom was, she was still my mom so she got up to make me breakfast! Her vision was seriously affected by the cancer so she didn’t notice there was little tinsel strips on the plate she put in the microwave. A fire insued! Literally flames shooting out of the microwave! Luckily I had just bought new fire extinguishers! Now When I look back on the morning I can laugh about it and remember how great my mom was. But when I arrived on set and saw Max I just starte crying. He gave me a hug and said don’t worry we’ll shoot around it. And I absolutely love him for that.

Tasha Franken Runway Magazine Interview

Tell us about your personal Style.

I would say it’s active chic ;). I’m always running from workouts

to meetings, so it’s usually a cute active set, tube socks

and a blazer 🙂

What designers’ do you wear?

I love to mix and match designer pieces with vintage. Saint

Laurent is my go-to always.

What is your favorite part of working out?

I love how it makes me feel physically and mentally. You never

regret a workout! If I’m in a bad mood, stressed, or anxious I

always move my body, it shifts any stagnant energy and I love

feeling strong physically!

When did you start teaching?

I started teaching about 2 years ago at the beginning of the

pandemic! I was on the hunt for an at home workout class but

couldn’t find anything I enjoyed. I decided to record my own

videos and started posting them on YouTube while hosting

regular live Instagram classes, hoping to help others feeling

the same way.

What are you working on now?

I’m constantly working on new programs and plans for T — F

Studio as well as new merch/products that I’m really excited

about!

Do you have pets?

I do and I’m obsessed with her! She’s a little yorkie puppy

called Peanut 🙂 @littlepeanutdog

What is your favorite food?

I love salmon and could eat it every day, but I also really like

spice! Indian and Thai food are my other favorites!

Tell us about your daily life.

Every day is so different for me, but I always start with my

morning routine! Hydration first, then coffee, and cleanse and

ice my face. Then, I’ll always move my body, meditate and

journal. The rest of the day is working from home on T — F

Studio, filming workouts, shooting content or modelling as I’m

still a full-time model.

Congrats on T — F Studio! What motivated you to

launch this platform?

T – F Studio is an online Fitness platform that I created during

the pandemic after struggling to find an online workout for

myself to do at home. The workouts are designed to work for

everyone, anywhere and anytime using minimal space, time

and equipment at an affordable price. I developed T – F Studio

after trying every method, fitness class and trainer around

the world and really struggling to find something that actually

made me feel good. There’s an overwhelming amount of

misinformation when it comes to fitness, especially for women.

So, I really wanted to create a style of movement that feels

good and strengthens both mind and body to create mental

and physical results – without any sort of negative pressure or

stress. T – F Studio is a safe and comfortable space to move

and feel your best.

What kind of music do you play when you workout?

Personally, I find hip hop and house the most motivating for

working out. I have a lot of go-to playlists on my Spotify for

every mood!

How much free time do you get?

Not enough to be honest! But I really love what I do, so I end

up working every day.

Do you work with any charities?

Yes! I partnered with Feeding America for my T — F Studio

hats! For every hat made one meal is donated to Feeding

America.

SKYLAR STECKER RUNWAY MAGAZINE INTERVIEW

Tell us about your personal Style. Who is Skylar?

My style is currently very relaxed for my everyday look,

which is typically crop top, jeans/ sweats, and Jordon’s.

But if I’m out at night for dinner/club then I tend to put on

something more feminine and elevated. A long tight dress

and heels to turn it up a notch! When it comes to fashion,

I am open to trying on anything, but when it comes to

buying something, I know what I like, so ultimately, I go

with what looks and feels good.

Which clothing designers are your favorite?

My favorite designers currently are Stella McCartney and

Vaute Couture because they are Vegan, Eco-Friendly, and

Ethical.

What do you like to do better, sing or act?

Although, it’s fun to experiment in other lanes and try to

improve on my other skill sets. Singing is still the love of

my life and always will be. It’s why I got into the industry

and why I am still here.

What is your favorite part of your music’s

production?

The reason why I wanted to learn more about the

production side of the music-making process is that it

allowed me to have more control in creating my music

and having more control of my career. A lot of time, when

scheduling sessions, you need to find times that work for

writers, producers, etc… At any time, I can just go into my

studio closet and put my idea to work immediately and

stay in there until it is complete. Many of the songs on my

EP “Earth Signs” were created like this or at least started

this way.

Name something in your closet you cannot live

without.

My microphone is in my closet and that I could not live

without! But if that wasn’t the case then I would say my

collection of Jordan’s.

What age did you become interested in

entertaining?

I started singing and writing music when I was 9 years

old. It came naturally to me when most things that age did

not. I sang hundreds of anthems anywhere that I could to

gain experience and confidence. Which thankfully led to

more collaborations and opportunities. I was a sponge

and never said no to any singing job and just wanted to

try and absorb everything I could while simultaneously

trying to figure out who I was artistical to grow.

What are your thoughts on marriage, is that

something you seen in your future?

Yes, I am an old-school romantic at heart and would love

to get married one day, but currently am only 19, so time

is on my side. Right now, my focus is my music and so that

is what I spend 99% of my time on.

Do you work with any charities?

Yes, I am involved in many charities that I feel extremely

passionate about. Most involve animals and kids… PETA,

LCA, Mercy for Animals, and Wheelchairs 4 kids have

all been part of my life for many years and will continue

to be.

Who was your favorite person to work with

and why?

Everyone! I wrote the most with KC this year, who

has become a good friend of mine & a super talented

songwriter! We’re both earth signs, so we’ve connected

since day 1 which is important during the creating process.

What kind of music do you listen to the most?

I love to listen to chill R&B and Rap music! Some examples

are Giveon, Drake, Kehlani, H.E.R, Summer Walker.

What is up next for you?

So much! I would love to release another project in early

2022 & hope to be able to tour next spring/summer!

America.
