Dr. Bruno Sharp is a fourth generation dentist who has modernized the Oral Care field by offering natural and fluoride free toothpastes, mouth washes and dental tape. Graduating in Brazil with a dental degree, he studied in the United States and received a Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Virginia’s School of Dentistry. After extensive research, Dr. Sharp found that fluoride is in the public water system. Combined with what we already intake, he saw that we are exposed to too much fluoride. Unfortunately, he could not find any natural products on the market. He then got to work. “We started with research [on the products] in 2003 and we went to market in 2006 and now this is our third round of production. Every round of production we listen more and more to our customers, listen to what their needs and their wants are and we make every production better,” Heegaard explained at The Natural Products Expo West.
Currently, four products are being offered: Adult Toothpaste and Kids Toothpaste, Mouthwash and Dental Tape. The Dr. Sharp Fresh Mint with Green Tea Toothpaste combines natural mint flavors and green tea to whiten the teeth, promote healthy gums and teeth and refresh breathe.
Dr. Sharp Wild Berry Kids Toothpaste, has a great berry flavor to help children get into the routine of taking care of their teeth.
Dr. Sharp Fresh Mint Mouthwash is an alcohol-free wash that includes witch hazel, licorice and sage extracts to combine with the mint flavor to leave your breath flawless. “The mouthwash is good for children or adults,” Heegaard said.
Dr. Sharp Green Tea Mint Dental Tape is an anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral tape. The entire package is recyclable.
