Trend #1 – The Bob

Design houses Altuzarra and Marc Jacobs featured models with chopped bobs that were fun and bold. Fringed bangs dominated the runways this season as well. Worn smooth and sleek or choppy and pieced, the bob came in variations that were versatile and full of personality. A hairstyle that is easy to maintain, it is best to make regular visits to the salon to keep your cut fresh and shaped. Use a cream that is not too heavy to piece it out and add texture, or to keep it light, use a mousse such as Pantene’s Flowing Body to add volume without weighing hair down.

Trend #2 – Mermaid Waves

Diane von Furstenberg and Versace opted for a romantic spin on their hair and make-up styling this season. Tossed and tousled, the models hair wistfully accented the collections in a style that is a no-fuss, natural approach to hair styling. To achieve this look effortlessly, loosely braid damp hair in two braids before going to sleep, in the morning let hair down and spray with Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray for a cool, beachy look that will last all day.

Trend #3 –The Low Pony

The low pony makes its appearance repeatedly on the “hot style” lists year after year, and rightly so. This style is classic with being a simple and quick fix to the hairstyling dilemma. There is something about the pony that looks so sleek and put together, making it perfect for this season’s runway. Jason Wu and Altuzurra showcased the low pony, shown slick and secured tightly at the nape of the neck. Use a high gloss finishing spray to tame fly aways and give the look a polish.
