At RUNWAY® MAGAZINE, diversity, equity, and inclusion are core to our mission. Founded in 1989 with a commitment to creative freedom and cultural diversity, we celebrate voices from every background. Our content reaches 100+ countries in 12 languages, spotlighting underrepresented designers, size-inclusive fashion, BIPOC creatives, LGBTQ+ innovators, and global perspectives.
Our Commitment
- Editorial Focus: Every issue features sustainable, ethical, and inclusive brands. We prioritize coverage of emerging talent from diverse ethnicities, body types, abilities, and genders.
- Cultural Representation: From NYFW to PFW, we amplify designers of color, adaptive fashion, and cross-cultural storytelling.
- Accessibility: Zero paywall ensures global access. Content available in English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese (Simplified & Traditional), and Arabic.

RUNWAY® MAGAZINE operates with a lean, dedicated 12-person editorial and creative team led by CEO Vincent Midnight and Editor-in-Chief Julia Perry.

- Ethnicity: 50% BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color)
- Global Representation: Team members from North America, Europe, Asia, and Latin America
- LGBTQ+: 25% identify as LGBTQ+
- Age Range: 28–55 (average 38)
We maintain a fully remote-friendly structure to attract talent worldwide.

- Contributor Diversity: 65% of 2025 freelance pitches from underrepresented groups.
