At RUNWAY® MAGAZINE, every story has a voice—and every voice has a name. Founded in 1989 by Vincent Midnight and led by Editor-in-Chief Julia Perry, we believe transparency builds trust. That’s why we never publish unsigned or anonymous articles.

Our Bylines Standard

  • Every piece of content—articles, reviews, interviews, trend reports, and AI-generated insights—carries a clear byline with the author’s full name.
  • Freelance & Staff: All contributors, whether full-time editors, photographers, stylists, or guest writers, are credited visibly at the top of each story.
  • AI Content: When Runway AI assists (e.g., trend forecasting or mood boards), it is explicitly noted alongside the human editor who curated and verified the final output.
  • Collective Features: Round-ups or team-curated guides still list lead contributors (e.g., “Curated by Julia Perry & the Fashion Team”).

Why We Require Bylines

  • Accountability: Readers know exactly who stands behind the words.
  • Credibility: Named authors encourage rigorous research and personal pride in work.
  • Community: Bylines let you connect with our writers on social media or via email.

Exceptions (None)

We make zero exceptions. Unsigned content is rejected during editorial review. This policy applies to all 10 categories—Fashion, Beauty, Entertainment, Lifestyle, Shopping, Romance, Politics, Health, Food, and Featured Stories.
